In 1996 the Whitefish, Montana, Rifle and Pistol Club formed an affiliation with the Williamsport, Pa., Original 1000 Yard Benchrest Club to conduct 1000 Yard Matches. Early in 1998 the Northwest 1000 Yard Benchrest Association was formed. All matches are held at the Deep Creek Rifle Range in Missoula, Montana. The club members are continually updating the range and it is now one of the best long distance shooting ranges in the country. We invite all 1000 yard shooters to come and join us in using this great range and joining the Northwest 1000 Yard Club. We have some fine competitions and some of the best shooters in the world. Shoot Schedule for 2011
Following are the shoot dates for 2011:
March 26-27, April 23-24, May 14-15, June 11-12,
July 9-10. Championship Shoot will be August 12,
13, and 14th. Extra practice days are March 13th, April 10th,

The 1000 Yard Range is available March 1st to August 31st, Mondays and Fridays from 8:00 AM until Noon, also for practice. We will have the range all day on Friday before each shoot, as we have Friday mornings and will have Friday afternoon also. For information on the Championship Shoot, see below.

CHAMPIONSHIP SHOOT
The Championship Shoot was be held on August 12, 13th and 14th. August 12th everyone practice during the day and we enjoyed a catfish fry that evening. Lunch was served on Saturday and we had a Steak Dinner on Saturday night. So much for anyone trying to diet!! Check out results on our "Championship Shoot" Page.
